Uncensored API Quickstart
Drop our uncensored API into your existing codebase with a single base URL change. You get a unified endpoint for an open-weight model that answers without content refusals, using standard OpenAI-compatible protocols.

Installation and setup
Start by creating an account via the Get API key page. You can sign in with Google or use an email and password; no phone number is required. Your API key appears immediately on screen. You do not need to install special libraries or configure complex routing. The API behaves exactly like the standard chat/completions endpoint, allowing you to swap in our uncensored model without rewriting your application logic.
Base URL and authentication
Use our dedicated base URL and pass your key in the standard authorization header. All requests route through https://api.chatgptapiprice.com/v1. This ensures your client code remains compatible with existing tools while delivering unfiltered outputs. Authentication relies on the standard Authorization: Bearer <API_KEY> format.

curl https://api.chatgptapiprice.com/v1/chat/completions \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{
"model": "uncensored",
"messages": [{"role": "user", "content": "What is the price per million tokens for this API?"}]
}'
Chat completions endpoint
Send messages to the POST /v1/chat/completions endpoint. The model ID must be set to uncensored to access the open-weight variant tuned for fewer refusals. You can control tone with temperature and constrain output with response_format. The API accepts standard message arrays with system, user, and assistant roles.
from openai import OpenAI
client = OpenAI(base_url="https://api.chatgptapiprice.com/v1", api_key="YOUR_KEY")
resp = client.chat.completions.create(
model="uncensored",
messages=[{"role": "user", "content": "Summarise this thread without softening it."}],
)
print(resp.choices[0].message.content)
Streaming responses
Enable streaming by setting stream: true in your request. You receive a server-sent events (SSE) stream of partial responses. The final chunk contains the full token usage statistics, allowing you to track costs accurately. This pattern works seamlessly with Node.js SDKs and other event-driven clients.
import OpenAI from "openai";
const client = new OpenAI({ baseURL: "https://api.chatgptapiprice.com/v1", apiKey: process.env.API_KEY });
const resp = await client.chat.completions.create({
model: "uncensored",
messages: [{ role: "user", content: "Draft a villain monologue for my game." }],
});
